Hi Jennifer

I’m the Wine/Marketing Director at Old Bridge Cellars and also created the Shoofly wines with Ben Riggs. Just wanted to drop you a quick note to thank you for tasting and recommending my wine.

Cheers

Jen..

Here’s a recommendation for everyone who buys expensive champagne as host/hostess gifts for the holidays. Gift this inexpensive Spanish Cava instead, with the caveat that the recipient(s) might like to experiment with bubbly from different countries… and it’s Wine Enthusiast rated 87! (I just bought it locally here in FL for $9.99!) HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Jennifer,
Interesting blog. I’ve been writing odd books for 20 years but just started blogging (http://www.clearwaterpublishing.com/alembic). Mostly because I’m told that authors are “supposed to” and I am nothing if not obedient. Haven’t really told the world I’m blogging yet. It’s not really a shame issue, more I’d hate to have the pressure of actual readers. And I’m not yet quite sure what to do. But readers of my books, you bet. I enjoyed your writing. If you ever would like a review copy of one of my books, just email me and I’ll send you one.
Good luck to you and your blog. I’ll stop back again.

Your boxed wine comment is too funny! I used to buy the crappy “Franzia” offerings & my tastes have matured well beyond that swill but I wanted to share a story with you. I am a server / prep cook @ a gourmet grocery in Ohio (Owned by a company based in Pittsburgh & designed to emulate a “Market District”-hint!) & a couple of the chef’s & I have been discussing all of the boxed offerings there are now that are NOTHING like boxed wines once were. The stigma is going away just as it has with the cork vs screw-top controversy. Let there be good wine available to all on the cheap…it doesn’t have to cost $75.00 to taste great! Box wine social anyone? =-) Scott in Columbus
