I was actually whining away one night and decided I needed a nice glass of wine to get the crankiness out. That’s when I saw 3 girls wine from Lodi, CA!
There isn’t much information on this wine. The wine bottle indicates that the name came about as the owners of the winery watched their 3 daughters grow up. There’s an “awwww” moment there. I thought that was sweet!
The taste on this (roughly) $12/bottle of wine was dark cherry, vanilla, oak and very “creamy”! It’s very much a full bodied wine. I enjoyed it on it’s own, but try a few pairings and let me know what you think!
This winery started out in 1934 as a co-op of local growers. It has since been bought and now run as a family owned and operated winery. From what I read, this winery produces small lots. I don’t know the count on this particular wine, but I do know I picked my bottle up at Whole Foods. I also see that World Market carries this one. So … one of those location should help you find this wine. If not, check out Oak Ridge’s list of “Where to find 3 girls wine” in a town near you!
The Winery has also created a video which I will share with you here:
I’ll end this post with a picture of the tasting room at this winery … it’s housed in tank #150. Pretty appropriate if you are in the mood to get …. wait for it …. TANKED!
Have you tried this wine? Do you like it? Love it? I want to hear what you think in the comments below!
