Sometimes I feel like a goddess and sometimes I think if I FEEL like a Goddess, I should probably DRINK like one! You know what? I DID!
Meditrina Wine
from Sokol Blosser Winery
It’s a wine that will make an goddess wanting a little more! It’s a blend of 50% Syrah, 25% Pinot Noir and 25% Zinfandel. It all plays nicely with each other and gives you a juicy cherry red taste. You’ll really notice the tart but bright cherry and raspberry taste on this wine initially. It’s not sweet, but finishes up smooth with an “earthy” finish. The spice of the Zinfandel carries thru after the first initial burst of juice. Very unique and a little tip – it does taste better the next day, so let it breath a bit before you try this one.
What would I pair with this wine? I drank this one on it’s own the second day and it was just fine – however the site recommends pairing it with something from the grill. The first day, I did pair this with my chicken dinner hot off the grill and I recommend that pairing for a unique flavor fest! Although, my BBQ sauce was a bit on the smokey side, which went nicely with the cherry taste!
While you are drinking this wine, you can go over to the site, Meditrina wines and pick out your Goddess name. It’s true! Answer a few of their questions and you’ll be presented with your Goddess name.
