I still have this idea and goal to get a tattoo. I like to call my 10 year plan … I’ve been thinking about getting it for 10 years now! That is until I picked up a bottle of Ed Hardy’s Pierced Hearts and True Love Rosé wine.
Ed Hardy Wine
by Christian Audigier
2008 Rosé
I confess, I had to Google Ed Hardy … I’m sorry, but I knew with a cool picture on the wine bottle he had to be someone I’d be interested in! Here is the skinny on Ed Hardy in case you don’t know … he’s a tattoo artist and extremely good at his craft! In fact thru Christian Audigier the brand has developed a line of clothes that has celebrities everywhere wearing his designs. Check out some of Ed Hardy’s tattoo work here. Christian Audigier has taken the Ed Hardy brand and utilized it for fashion and thankfully for us … wine!
So it’s a fancy bottle on the outside, how are the contents on the inside? Well, to start, the alcohol content on this Rose is 12.5% per the bottle. No heavy alcohol taste. It’s bright, light and very berry in flavor. I would almost say a bit of a strawberry taste to it and for some reason I want to throw in some watermelon. It’s a light, thin wine but served chilled holds a great sip!
What’s the price on this wine? I picked it up for about $10/bottle. I wasn’t expecting much with this price point, but I think it’s actually fairly decent. I wouldn’t go as far as to say have this for your next romantic “pop the question” kindof a night, but it’s completely appropriate for Girl’s or Guy’s night out!
Great to pair with a light meal … a nice salad or even a seafood would go well with this one! I would love to hear what you think of this wine! Have you tried it? Let me know in the comment below!
I saved this wine in my iPhone intellitaste database! You can start saving and remembering your wine with intellitaste too! (sponsored!)

Jennifer,
Wow what a interesting perspective. The thought of how sick the smell of this wine was and only to be followed by the equally revolting taste brought me to find out what others thought of this varietal. Low and behold your article and what a surprise. Interesting perspective and good luck with your ten year plan, a nice t stamp on your back is fitting for such outstanding insight.

Hi Tom!
Thank you for stopping by … it’s not a wine everyone will appreciate, that’s for sure – but taste is subjective, so I always want to hear what others think! Thank you! ..
By the way … got that Tattoo in February! http://instagram.com/p/VSTbybrl-k/
Cheers!
