Wine Wednesday!!! – Pinot Evil

….I LOVE a play on words and I have found yet another boxed wine!

I have to say I’m really confused on where this wine comes from … the box indicated “product of hungry” but the website indicates both Italy and France…. where does this originate? I hope to have an “updated” answer soon.

Until then, this is a light pinot noir … if you are expecting a heavy full tasting wine, you won’t find it here. It’s light and very easy – perfect for an every day wine. I’m not sure I would put this on your “high end” list of wines. When tasting this, I couldn’t help thinking of Franzia – purely because of it’s lightness. While others may disagree with me, I felt that for a Pinot Noir – this wasn’t the best out there … however .. it WAS a good wine. Even at $23 (with tax) this box equals at least 4 bottles; with that said and my mad calculator skills …. that comes out to about $5.75/bottle. THAT is a great price and well worth the purchase.
