Maybe I should rephrase that title to Happiness ON a Bottle. Take a look at that picture … how can you not smile when you see that? I couldn’t resist picking up this bottle to bring home.

Syrah
2005 California wine
Oreana Winery produces this fun wine. It comes in both the Syrah and a Chardonnay. Since I am red wine drinker … of course I went with the Syrah. I picked up the 2005, but the winery is selling their 2007 vintage on their site.
Take a look at this winery when you have a chance! It’s located in downtown Santa Barbara and also houses a marketplace. Judging by the photos on this site … everyone there has a great time. You’ll also see some celebreties in the mingle of photos … I think I saw Eve in one of them. Too fun.
As for the taste, I wasn’t a big fan. I did let this breath and found it to still have a little bite. For the price of $10 a bottle, it’s pretty good. The site indicates the 2007 tastes like arabica beans with an earthy truffle undertone. If that description entices you, go for it!
Me personally, I think I will just keep this bottle of wine on the counter ….. sometimes you just need a good smile!
