So ….. the economy is a little sticky for some right now and what’s a person to do when you love your wine …. currently, maybe you have to hold back from spending a bit. Do you really think I would let ANY reader of Jennifer’s Review go wineless??? Heck no …… I found a great tasting wine that not only comes in a fun container – but has a taste to be reckoned with!
Red Truck Wine
Mini-Barrel

This little gem …. or should I say compact gem with lots of wine is a fabulous item for a party. Coming in at $29.99 (I found mine at only 1 sam’s club for about $21) THIS is an item you won’t be afraid to bring out for the parties. The difference between this and a boxed wine such as Franzia are the ingredients …. this is a real blend of red wine. This mini-barrel is full of Syrah, Petite Sirah, Cabernet Franc, Malbec and Mourvedre!
Wondering about the taste? It’s wonderful …. very purple in color but I really taste the chocolate and berries in this one. It’s a wine that has two of my favorite things… wine and chocolate! It’s a great every day wine. Since I couldn’t find this wine at a few other Sam’s clubs … just the one in West Allis, WI … I picked up two of these on my last Sam’s run … just to be safe for this summer!
Wondering if $30 is worth it? … This mini-barrel is claimed by the company to be equal to 4 bottles of wine. I have to say, it feels like there is a lot more then that in the barrel! So … if it is truly 4 bottles…. I haven’t found a wine with this quality that is priced at $7.50 a bottle. Although my $6 Malbec does come close!
When I went to check out with my wine at Sam’s club …. it created some fun conversations! Just think what’ll come up at your next party when you pop the barrel!
Cheers to barrel wine!

Cool Jen! Even though I doubt that it really is super good. But anyway, U guys r so lucky at this point in time, since the wine is so cheap over there. Our Euro is killing us. Crisis schmisis. Wine is at an all time high over here, but perhaps it’s only in the countries I move in. I should perhaps move back 2 France, where the Champagne is half the price of what one pays here in the north.
Anyway, have fun & enjoy!
I guess there is a lot to be thankful for here in the US …. our wine is good and cheap! ha ha…. you do have expensive tastes my friend …. but I must admit … you do know your stuff! Recommend to me anytime! Do you like any US wines?
