There are so many fun things out there on the net … but nothing more fun then reading a bunch of anonymous people spew verbal assaults at the world, other people and those that made them mad that day. Enter – Craigslist.com’s rants and raves section of any city. The last comment is of course about the rants. The raves … well… I’d love to start talking about the craigslist.com raves first .. but the truth is.. you’d really have to search for the raves on Criagslist.com Rants and Raves section!
Rants
I started out looking at the section because I actually hadn’t seen it before and curiousity got the better of me …. oh my …. as a person who also likes postsecret.com … this was almost just as fun. Now… if you haven’t been to the craigslist rants and raves section and after reading this, think you are going to hop over there for some fun … be warned …. be very warned …. if you are sensitive and easily offended …. don’t do it. Let it go and have a glass of wine instead. There is no rating there, there is no “watch your language” rules and it’s basically a free for all in lifestyles, writings, rantings, hate, conspiracy theories ….. and the list goes on.
But I HAD to try the fun….
So on Madison, Wisconsin’s craigslist rants and raves I posted….. just to be a little devil, I posted my “rant” about how I felt slow drivers need to stay in the right lane and leave the left lane for those of us that like to excel the speed limit somewhat. I was shocked … just a few reply postings… nothing really worth mentioning … UNTIL …. someone decided to reply via email to me! …. yep ….. now I’m smiling.
Here is a little tip to those that may be new to craigslist. While the email you send your message to is private….. your email goes to the person with full email address and the name you signed up with on that email address. (smiles)… SO here is JB’s response and I thought it was worth the post.

I saw your rant you posted the other day about left lane and so on.
Let me tell you, I understand wanting to just “get there” and that yes, in Wisco, it seems that the left lane is the “fast lane”.
However, did you know that the “fast lane” varies from state to state? In my home state of FL, the right lane is the “fast lane” and where most of the passing is done. I have noticed that Wisco drivers are very serious about this left lane thing. I try to be “wisco considerate” and pass on the left, but if I don’t go 85 mph + in the left lane the driver behind me wants to teach me a Midwest lesson. Maybe the beltline is filled will a diverse crowd that is still learning the rules of the Wisco road?
Lets compromise! Okay…I will keep out of the left lane in general (I like to drive the speed limit or maybe 5 over) but if I need to pass, you keep at least a car length away from me with full faith that as soon as I pass the person on my right, I will get out of your lane and you will be on your speedy way.
Another option is to keep yourself on time so you are not always driving like a bat out of hell (?)

Ohhhh…. you got me where it hurts JB … I AM late most of the time! I had to laugh at the idea that she was trying to convince me that Florida has the “right lane is the fast lane” deal…. since I’ve driven in Florida and have friends there …. I asked. The resounding emails back were … “uhhhh… NO” But JB did spark my interest…. what really ARE the rules of the road.
Guess what I found! JUNE is Lane courtesy month …. truly … I have not made that up – per the National Motorist Association: http://www.motorists.org/lanecourtesy
And wondering about that “it varies from state to state” thing … I was …. JB was indeed right…. some states do allow you to do the speed limit in the left lane …. the only state I can see from this list that doesn’t indicate you have to pull to the right if you are UNDER the speed limit is Puerto Rico..
I also posted a “rave” in the Milwaukee section of craigslist’s rants and raves …. want to know the response? No one cared.

Yes, very nice try on that left lane is slow lane in Florida. that is the first thing I thought when I read that. “uhh,No. I don’t think so.” Maybe that is the reason JB moved to “Wisco”, she was hated in “Flori” already. Idiots. I can not stand left lane vigilantes. I don’t mind having to slow down for someone who is going slower when it is obvious that they are passing someone slower yet. I don’t think anyone is having rage over that. but tolerating someone going slow in the left lane when the right is clear? …yeah, not so much.
