Okay … most of the wines that I’ve reviewed are those wines you can find in your local retailers… not often do I have the opportunity to talk about a wine that is fairly exclusive. When I say cozy up with me…. there’s a reason for it!

This winery produces a barbera wine … a grape / wine I’ve not tasted before. It’s a different taste and one that is easy to get used to. I like that it has a light warmth to it. This red wine with it’s low tannins creates a very full, smooth taste. When I say that this is exculsive … it is… it’s from a winery with only 1.5 acres of vineyards… can’t get more exclusive then that.

I don’t know if it was the weather outside today (the day I tasted this wine) or simply the wine itself – but this wine is the best for curling up with a great book! It has a smooth black cherry taste and an after taste of a slight oak flavor … truly wonderful! There is a higher alcohol content in this wine. I am learning myself, to continue to let wines “breath” for better tasting wine… and this is no exception.
