I just had to get a post out about this. I know there are a lot of people looking for work right now… and the biggest complaint I hear is that resume’s are submitted … and no response is provided back. I’ve even heard of people getting responses back 3 months after they’ve applied. It can make a person very discouraged for sure.
try, try, try again
Then I read about a business women in South Korea; We’ll call her Ms. Cha (her verified last name per the Yahoo post on this.). Ms. Cha has her own business selling food and household items door to door at apartment complexes. She currently utilizes a hand cart to carry her products. Ms. Cha in 2005 decided she wanted a car (I’m assuming to expand her business) to help her sell her products.
If you have a car … you need a license to drive that car. Here is where I most admire Ms. Cha; she has taken and not passed the driver’s license test 771 times. yep… 771 times Ms. Cha took that test and has not passed AND she is going to continue on for her 772 attempt to pass shortly.
I couldn’t believe it … this women so believes in herself, has such focus on her business and refuses to “fail” – that she will keep trying until she gets her license.
I’m shamed by Ms. Cha …. how many times have I given up on things after the 3rd time… 4th time… 20th time? Let’s face it .. we can all learn a lesson from Ms. Cha! I hope she passes on her 772nd time!!
