Today as I watched the vice presidential debate live on TV, I drank the wine below and twittered with everyone giving their opinon on debate. I came across this wine / winery on one of my recent trips to Kansas City for work.

This winery has won many competitions…. don’t ask me which ones…. they have a whole wall of medals on the store wall. Picture below:
This wine was surprising to me, it’s full but light and very fruity — makes a great everyday wine. I would say it’s better when you let it breath a bit. Of course they get great points for using real cork, corks!! Here is the thing that makes this wine special. It’s only available to you when you go to the winery. They distribute to stores, but nothing is sold on-line. Which means…. any of you who want to try this …. better make a friend in Kansas to get it! Very limited in that perspective.
I highly recommend taking the extra time to drive out to this winery when you are in Kansas City for work or play! You will not be disappointed. Or for even more fun, you can plan your visit to attend one of their many events. While I was there, another couple reminisced about their time at the winery attending a great Murder Mystery Dinner. Needless to say, they enjoyed the experience!
